How your information is protected and honours your trust.
This privacy policy explains how I collect, use, protect, and store your personal data when you work with me or visit my website. It covers everything from session confidentiality to website cookies, and outlines your rights over your information.
I take data protection and client confidentiality seriously - not just as legal requirements, but as fundamental to the trust you place in us. This policy is written to be clear and honest about our practices.
If anything here raises questions, please get in touch. I'm happy to explain further.
Gather with care Honour what's shared
When you work with me or use my website, certain information is collected. I only gather what we genuinely need to provide you with good service and meet our legal obligations.
This typically includes:
I don't collect more than I need. I don't sell your data to anyone. Your information exists purely to serve your experience with me and fulfil my professional responsibilities.
Transform to serve Care truly
Your personal data serves specific, legitimate purposes:
I never share your information with third parties for their marketing. I don't sell data. Your privacy is protected throughout.
Hold sacred trust Protect precious
What you share in sessions stays in sessions. This confidentiality isn't just policy - it's central to the transformational work we do together.
Therapeutic confidentiality: Everything discussed in one-to-one sessions remains completely private, held within professional ethical boundaries. I would only break confidentiality if there's serious risk of harm to you or others, or if legally required to do so.
For group workshops, all participants commit to confidentiality about what others share. While we can't control what others do outside the space, we create a strong container of trust and address client protection explicitly at every workshop's start.
Session notes are stored securely, encrypted, and accessible only by your facilitator. I keep them for seven years after our last session - a professional requirement - then permanently delete them.
Build strong foundations Secure, solid
Protecting your information means both technical security and treating your data with genuine care.
I use:
Should a data breach ever occur - and I work hard to prevent this - I'd notify you promptly and take immediate steps to protect your interests.
See with clarity Transparency always
My website uses minimal cookies - small files that help the site function and remember your preferences.
Essential cookies keep things working: maintaining your session, remembering you're logged in, enabling basic functionality. These are necessary for the site to operate.
Analytics cookies help me understand website use - which pages people find helpful, where navigation might be unclear, what could be improved. This data is anonymised and never used to identify individuals.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Blocking cookies might affect some functionality, but core content remains accessible.
Bloom into power You choose
This is your information. You have meaningful rights over it:
To exercise any of these rights, just contact us. I'll respond within 30 days.
Trust worthy partners Stronger together
I work with carefully selected partners who help deliver our service. Each one meets strict privacy terms and data protection standards:
These providers access only what they need to fulfil their function. They're contractually bound to protect your data, never use it for their own purposes, and never share it onward.
Time honours trust Hold, release
Different types of data have different retention periods, balancing your privacy with my professional and legal obligations:
When information reaches its retention limit, I delete it securely and permanently.
Boundaries protect Safe passage
Your data generally stays within the UK. On rare occasions when I use services involving international transfers, I ensure appropriate safeguards through standard contractual clauses or adequacy arrangements.
I won't send your personal information to countries without adequate data protection unless you've given explicit consent or it's essential for providing your service.
Guard what's precious Love fiercely
My services are designed for adults aged 18 and over. I don't knowingly collect personal information from minors without parental consent.
If we discover I've inadvertently collected data from someone under 18 without appropriate consent, I'll delete it promptly.
Grow and evolve Stay clear
I review this privacy policy regularly to keep it current. When I make significant changes, I'll notify you - typically via email or through a website notice.
The date below shows my last update. Continuing to use my services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated privacy terms.
Built on solid ground Law serves
Under UK GDPR, I need a lawful basis for processing personal data. Here's what applies:
I also follow ethical guidelines from professional bodies including BACP and UKCP, which place confidentiality and data protection at practice's heart.
Speak your truth Voice matters
If anything here needs clarification, if you have questions about data usage, or if you're concerned about your privacy, please reach out. I take these matters seriously and are here to help.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection authority. Contact them at ico.org.uk or call 0303 123 1113.
That said, I'd genuinely value the chance to address concerns directly first. I can often resolve things quickly to your satisfaction.
