The practical information you need to decide if this journey is right for you.
Shadow Work coaching is a hands-on approach to transformation that helps you meet and integrate the parts of yourself you've learned to hide or suppress. Rather than just talking about your patterns, you'll work with them in a physical, embodied way - using objects, movement and voice to create a map of your inner world you can actually see and interact with.
It's rooted in Jungian psychology but brings those concepts out of theory and into your lived experience. You might find yourself speaking as different parts of yourself, physically moving between perspectives, or tracing patterns back to where they first took root in your life.
Explore what Shadow Work really means⏵
Uncover hidden depths Meet the suppressed parts
This is one of the most common Shadow Work questions we hear, and it matters because you deserve to know what you're stepping into.
Therapy often works through conversation and insight. Shadow Work coaching uses your whole self - your body, your voice, your physical presence - to create change that goes deeper than understanding alone. You're not sitting and talking about what happened; you're actively engaging with the patterns themselves.
Where therapy might help you understand why you do something, Shadow Work helps you experience yourself differently in the moment. It's the difference between knowing intellectually that you have permission to set boundaries, and actually feeling that permission in your body, testing it out, discovering what becomes possible.
That said, Shadow Work coaching isn't a replacement for therapy, especially if you're working through trauma or mental health concerns. Many clients find the two approaches complement each other beautifully - therapy for processing and integration, Shadow Work for embodied transformation.
Mind and heart unite Transform beyond understanding
One-to-one sessions range from £400 - £600 depending on what feels like an honest and appropriate exchange for your circumstances. We also offer payment plans to make this work more accessible.
Why these sessions are longer: Real transformation might be hard to reach in 50-minute increments. When you have hours instead of minutes, you can follow the thread wherever it needs to go, without rushing or leaving things half-explored.
Think of it less as an hourly rate and more as an investment in fundamentally changing your relationship with yourself. Some clients notice shifts after a single session; others work with us over months or years as different layers emerge.

Invest in wholeness Real transformation, real value
Not really, and that might be a relief if you're someone who tends to over-prepare. You don't need to have everything figured out or bring the 'right' issue. In fact, sometimes the most powerful sessions come from showing up with simply what's present for you that day.
What helps:
Some clients find it useful to journal beforehand about what's alive for them, but it's absolutely not required. Your inner wisdom knows what needs attention.
Cross the threshold Ready as you are
Every session is different because every person and every issue is unique, but here's what you might experience:
We start by exploring what's present for you - what pattern or feeling or situation brought you here. Not just intellectually, but how it lives in your body, where you feel it, what it reminds you of.
Then we create a physical representation of your inner world using cushions, objects, or positions in the room. This isn't abstract - when you can literally see and move between different parts of yourself, everything shifts.
You'll speak from different perspectives - maybe the part of you that's afraid, the part that's critical, the part that desperately wants things to be different. When you give voice to these parts, they stop being problems and become messengers.
We might trace patterns back to when they first formed, understanding the original context that made them necessary. This isn't about blame - it's about seeing how brilliantly you adapted to what you needed then, and choosing what serves you now.
Finally, we explore new possibilities - what becomes available when you're not locked in the old pattern? What do you have access to that felt impossible before?

Give voice to all parts Express what's been silent
This is such an important question, and we're glad you're asking it. Shadow Work can bring up strong feelings - that's often part of how it creates change - but you're not alone in it.
Here's how we create safety:
A note on intensity: Feeling things deeply isn't the same as being overwhelmed. Part of Shadow Work is learning you can feel difficult emotions without being consumed by them. But if you have a history of trauma or dissociation, please let us know so we can adjust our approach accordingly.
Build a solid foundation Safety to feel deeply
Some clients notice immediate shifts - a feeling of lightness, a new perspective, a pattern that suddenly doesn't have the same grip. Others find the changes unfold more gradually, revealing themselves over weeks or months as you practise living from a different place inside yourself.
What's true for many clients is the insights stick. Unlike some approaches where you leave feeling inspired but slip back into old patterns, Shadow Work creates change at a level that feels hard to un-know. When you've physically stood in a different position, spoken from a different part of yourself, your system remembers.
That said, transformation isn't always linear. You might have breakthroughs, then periods of integration. You might notice one area shifts while another stays stuck for now. This work respects your own timeline.
Shifts happen, then deepen Change that lasts
It depends entirely on you, what you're working with, and how deep you want to go. Some people come for a single powerful session around a specific issue. Others work with us over months or years as different layers of their patterns emerge.
Think of it like this: one session might give you a profound shift around a particular pattern. Multiple sessions let you build a different relationship with yourself over time, integrating changes more deeply and exploring what else becomes possible.
We don't lock you into packages or pressure you to commit. After your first session, you'll have a better sense of whether this work resonates and what might serve you going forward.
Go as deep as needed Your timeline, your pace
You might be surprised how often this comes up as one of the coaching questions we hear. And honestly? Not knowing is completely fine. Sometimes the most powerful work comes from showing up with a vague sense of discomfort or stuckness, rather than a neatly defined problem.
Your body knows what needs attention, even if your mind doesn't have words for it yet. We might start with a feeling, a recurring situation, something that's been nagging at you. The issue reveals itself as we work.
If you're truly unsure whether you're ready or what you might explore, a discovery call can help you get clearer.
Trust the unnamed Your body knows
1:1 coaching sessions give you undivided attention and space to work at whatever depth you need. They're ideal if you have a specific issue you want to explore, if you're working with something particularly tender or private, or if you simply prefer intimate, focused work.

Weekend intensives offer something different: the power of witnessing and being witnessed by others. There's something profound about watching someone else's breakthrough and recognising yourself in it, or being held by a community as you do your own work.

Some clients start with individual work to get their bearings, then join group intensives. Others jump straight into weekend workshops. There's no wrong way in.

Yes, though it looks different depending on what you need. Some clients like space between sessions to integrate what emerged. Others appreciate check-ins via email or phone call to process what's unfolding.

Many of our clients work with therapists alongside Shadow Work coaching, and most find the approaches complement each other beautifully. Your therapist might help you process and understand; Shadow Work might help you embody and transform.
It can be helpful to let your therapist know you're doing this work. Some clients find Shadow Work brings material into their therapy sessions; others appreciate having two different containers for different types of exploration.
Complement, don't compete Therapy and Shadow Work align
Actually, you might be exactly who this work is for. If you've read the books, done the courses, maybe tried therapy and meditation, and you understand your patterns but still find yourself stuck in them? That gap between knowing and changing is precisely where Shadow Work lives.
The work isn't about gaining more insight - it's about accessing the parts of yourself that hold what you need to actually shift. All that previous work you've done? It becomes deeper and more embodied through this process.
From knowing to embodying Close the understanding gap
You might be ready if you're tired of understanding your patterns without being able to change them. If you sense there's something underneath all your coping strategies that needs attention. If you're willing to feel uncomfortable things in service of transformation.
You might not be ready if you're in acute crisis, if you need immediate mental health support, or if the idea of exploring your inner world feels overwhelming rather than curious-making right now. And that's completely okay - readiness has its own timeline.
Still wondering if this is your time? These Shadow Work FAQs cover the practicalities, but sometimes you just need to trust what your body is telling you. If something in you stirred reading this, that might be your answer.
